Manuel Salazar joins William Jessup University

Rocklin, Calif. – William Jessup University has hired Manuel Salazar as an Assistant Professor in the university’s Business Department.

Salazar comes to Jessup from Grand Canyon University’s Ken Blanchard College of Business, where he served as an adjunct business professor. He has taught graduate and undergraduate college courses in financial, managerial, cost and tax accounting, corporate and managerial finance, micro and macro economics, operations management, project management, and public budgeting-financial management.

 “We are looking forward to Manuel joining our vibrant Business Department here at Jessup,” said Dr. Dennis Jameson, Vice President for Academic Affairs at William Jessup. “As Business continues to be one of WJU’s most popular majors we have opted to grow our faculty to support this need.”

 Dr. Salazar will be helping to build the new accounting concentration at WJU, among other business areas.

 A native Californian, Salazar also has enjoyed success in the fields of business and accounting, having worked as the corporate controller with Lumbee Guaranty Bank (the oldest surviving Native-American owned bank in the United States-located in N.C.), where he led their accounting and financial operations.

Salazar has also worked in the accounting and tax industry for a CPA firm. In addition to his business experience, he also has experience in K-12 education, having nearly a decade of experience as a school principal and high school mathematics and economics teacher.   

Manuel received an A.A. in Business Management from West Valley College, (Saratoga, CA) and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Pembroke. Dr. Salazar went on to earn an MBA from the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, Campbell University (North Carolina), and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration with a dissertation in mathematics ed. from Pensacola Christian College in Florida.
