Man found drowned in PG&E Canal

Foul Play Not Suspected

A man, who has not been identified, was found drowned in a PG&E canal around noon yesterday.

A Placer County Water Agency worker saw the man in the Lower Wise Canal and called 911 at 11:46 a.m. Two Placer County Sheriff dive team members jumped into the canal and recovered the man’s body as it floated downstream.

The man’s identity will be released after notification of next-of-kin. There does not appear to be any foul play involved.
