During the early morning hours of March 4th, erratic driving led to an arrest for felony evading and for assault on a police officer.

At about 1:00 AM, a Rocklin Police Officer attempted to stop a vehicle near Granite Drive and Sierra Meadows Drive after observing erratic driving. The vehicle sped away from the officer. At one point, the vehicle spun out and came to rest front bumper-to-front bumper with the officer’s patrol car. While attempting to contact the driver, the officer had to jump out of the way to avoid being run over as the suspect vehicle once again sped away; this time onto eastbound I-80.
