Roseville, Calif.- Shortly after 2 p.m. this afternoon the Roseville Fire Department was dispatched to a report of black smoke coming from behind the Renaissance Creek Shopping Center at Sierra College Boulevard and Douglas Boulevard.  When firefighters arrived they found the back of a semi-truck trailer fully involved in fire to the rear of 8676 Sierra College Boulevard, the Home Goods Store.

The incident commander requested a second alarm once it was learned that the building might be involved. Fortunately, with quick action of the firefighters, the fire was confined to the trailer, with minimal smoke in the building.

The Home Goods Store, as well as the neighboring Staples Store were temporarily evacuated as a precaution.  Both stores are back in business at this time.
