Neighborhood volunteers needed to provide feedback

Roseville Electric recently installed new street lights at several test locations to determine how well the lights illuminate our neighborhoods. During this portion of the evaluation, volunteers will provide their opinion on the lighting quality and if it provides the illumination necessary for a safe community.

In addition to volunteer opinion, the study will determine which lamp is most cost effective considering installation, energy use and lifetime maintenance costs.

Volunteers will ride a bus with other participants to several locations in Roseville to evaluate the lights and its impact in the neighborhood. Volunteers will be provided with an evaluation sheet and walk approximately two to six blocks at each stop.

The event will be held on Thursday, March 10 and begin at 6:15 p.m. We anticipate the site survey will end by 9 p.m. At the completion of the site survey, participants will be given a $40 gift card.

Sign up is on a first come, first served basis. Roseville Electric can accommodate up to 24 volunteers. Participants must be 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license and be a Roseville resident. Only one person per household will be accepted. The last day to submit an application to participate in this event is Thursday, March 3.

No volunteer can be affiliated with street lighting design, purchasing, manufacturing, construction and/or maintenance companies.

Participants will be notified by Roseville Electric to confirm they’ve been selected and details on the meeting location.
