Sacramento, Calif.- ย–Assemblyman Ted Gaines, Rย—Roseville, will honor Loomis-Granite Bay’s Lakeside Little League team on the floor of the Assembly Chambers Wednesday for their accomplishment in reaching the Western Region championship game in San Bernardino last month.

Assemblyman Roger Niello, R-Fair Oaks and Senator Dave Cox, R-Fair Oaks, will join Gaines in honoring the team.

‘An elite, few number of teams make it as far as the Lakeside Little League team did in the championship series this year,’ Gaines said. ‘This is an incredible accomplishment for the Lakeside team and we are proud to honor the players and coaches here at the State Capitol with the certificates and recognition they deserve.’

Gaines will present the team, which was one win away from reaching the Little League World Series, with certificates and a resolution on behalf of the Assembly.

‘The entire Granite Bay community is brimming with pride for these boys and their accomplishments,’ Niello said. ‘The hard work and dedication that led to their success have inspired us all, and I am pleased to be able to honor them.’

Assemblyman Ted Gaines represents the 4th Assembly District, which includes portions of Placer, El Dorado, Sacramento & Alpine counties. Assemblyman Roger Niello represents the 5th Assembly District, which includes portions of Sacramento and Placer counties.
