The Rocklin Police and Fire Departments responded to a vegetation fire on Sunday afternoon. Two Lincoln juveniles were cited for arson as a result.
Police and fire units responded to the call near Ranch View Drive and Windrow Lane on Sunday at about 3:20 PM. The grass fire, near the Rocklin & Lincoln city limits was difficult to access by heavy equipment but hand crews managed to contain the fire that had spread to about 50 square yards.
With the help of the Lincoln Police Department and a witness, two 16-year-old juvenile suspects were located. Both were cited for arson and the criminal case will be referred to the Placer County Probation Department.
No structures were immediately threatened by the flames.
