Yuba County Sheriff Steve Durfor warned citizens today of a high-risk sex offender who might pose a threat to local children.

Brian Crow resides in the Wheatland area, and is known to frequent Camp Far West and Placer County.  He is not on parole or probation, and is in compliance with all of his registration requirements.  Despite this, ‘some of Crow’s recent behavior is legal but troubling,’ Durfor explained.  ‘As a result, I feel it is our responsibility to alert citizens to the possibility that he may be at an increased risk to re-offend at this time.’

Crow is a 40 year-old white male with blonde hair and blue eyes.  He is approximately 5’10’ tall and weighs 118 lbs.  He has previously targeted girls under the age of 14 as victims.  Crow frequents libraries and other areas that are accessible to children, and has recently inquired about the beginning of the school year.

Brian Crow’s information is available on the Megan’s Law website at https://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/.ย
