Shortly after midnight this morning, Roseville Police officers arrested two teens suspected of involvement in yesterday afternoon’s drive-by shooting of a teenager.

Justin Mathew Wittkop, 18, of Granite Bay (photo above) and a 17-year-old female from Granite Bay were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy. Wittkop is being held without bail in the Placer County Jail, and the juvenile was booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall.

At about 3:45 p.m. yesterday, two groups of teenagers got into an altercation outside and inside a fast-food restaurant in the 8600 block of Sierra College Boulevard.  The restaurant manager stopped the fight, and one of the groups left.  The other group of teens emerged from the restaurant approximately 20 minutes later, and were standing  near Sierra College Boulevard when a silver sedan cruised by. Shots from a handgun were fired from the vehicle, striking one of the teens, a 16-year-old male from Roseville.  He was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
