The man believed responsible for committing many residential burglaries in Granite Bay over the past few months is in custody at the Placer County Jail.

Jason Earl Rogers, 30, of Citrus Heights, was booked into the Placer County Jail today on charges of residential burglary and possession of stolen property. He was originally arrested by El Dorado County Sheriff’s detectives who discovered a large amount of stolen property during a search of his home when he was arrested Feb. 2 El Dorado detectives knew that Placer County detectives were looking for a residential burglar who had kicked in the front doors of dozens of homes and took jewelry.

Placer County detectives joined the search of Rogers’ home and found property belonging to many Granite Bay victims.

Because of the large volume of cases in Placer County, Rogers was extradited here today. He is being held on a no-bail parole hold.
