Rocklin, CA — Did you know that right here in Placer County there are a wide range of Health and Wellness services designed just for seniors and their caregivers?
On Friday, September 23, at the Rocklin Campus there will be a comprehensive Health and Wellness Fair from 9am until 2pm, where you can find over 30 vendors, presentations, interactive fitness demonstrations and much more.
As part of our 80th Anniversary Celebration, the Sierra College Foundation has partnered with Sutter Health, Kaiser Health, and Seniors First to put on this important, fun, and free event. Located in the large café, adjoining meeting rooms and the surrounding outside areas, attendees will have the option of perusing the booths including Meals on Wheels, California Hearing Aid Center, Sassy’s Solutions Essential Oils, Placer County’s District Attorney’s Office, True REST Float Spa, California Department of Veterans Affairs, Daycation for Seniors, Farm Fresh to You, local insurance providers and many more.
Expert presentations will be given throughout the day in one of two rooms directly off of the café. These presentation will address topics such as: Fraud Prevention, Estate Planning/Legal Assistance, Healthy Hearts and Stroke Prevention, Medicare and Beyond, Support Services for Seniors, and California Alzheimer’s Disease Centers and Assisted Living Decisions.
Outside in the amphitheater there will be sample fitness classes for attendees in activities like Thai Chi and Yoga throughout the day.
