The Roseville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a fraud suspect. On January 27, the woman in the attached photo tried to rent a car in Roseville, using a falsified Michigan driver’s license and a stolen credit card. The suspect asked the rental agency clerk to call a toll-free number to verify the credit card, rather than swiping it. The clerk became suspicious and decided to call the issuing bank’s published number instead. At that point, the suspect fled and the clerk notified Roseville Police.
A Roseville Police detective determined that the suspect used her own photograph on the Michigan driver’s license, but fraudulently used the name of a Bay Area woman.
Anyone who recognizes the woman in the attached photograph is asked to call the Roseville Police Investigations Unit at (916)774-5070, or Roseville Crime Stoppers at (916)783-7867.
