New Development in Historic Folsom
Folsom, Calif.- Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento announces it is accepting applications for a new development in Historic Folsom. (Folsom tops list of Best Places to raise a family)
The homes will be developed on the northeast corner of Coloma and Persifer streets. The project includes five two-story homes and five cottages and will provide affordable homeownership opportunities for low-income households. The homes will include drought-tolerant landscaping, energy-efficient features, and rooftop solar-all geared to help reduce homeowners’ utility expenses.
Local support
For nearly 40 years, Habitat has built homes and fulfilled dreams in partnership with hardworking individuals and families. With the support of community partners, donors, and volunteers, Habitat constructs new homes and repairs existing homes. Habitat homes are sold to partner homebuyers at no profit and are financed with affordable loans.
