Fire at H.C. Elliot Park in Roseville

The Roseville Fire Department responded to a reported playground fire shortly after 4 a.m. today.  Firefighters quickly arrived at H.C. Elliot Park on Cushendall Drive and found a large play structure fully engulfed in flames.  Although the fire was extinguished in a matter of minutes, the play equipment was completely destroyed. The fire was reported by a passerby.  A total dollar loss estimate is not available at this time.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.  Fire investigators are looking into all possibilities, including fireworks.  Fire officials are requesting anyone who may have information related to this fire please contact the Roseville Fire Department, Fire Investigation Office at 916-774-5822.
