What began as a basketball game in Rocklin, ended in a melee in which an estimated 50 people were involved in fighting according to some reports. Other reports indicate 4- 10 people involved. A teenager was sent to the hospital after allegedly being hit by a coach.
The brawl occurred at the Hardwood Palace Sports Facility, located on 1091 Tinker Road in Rocklin. It is believed that a fight ensued after an argument broke out between parents and coaches. The facility if a popular sports complex that hosts basketball tournaments.
Inquiries to the Sheriff’s Department for more information went unanswered.
