On December 29, 2008, at approximately 3:38 PM, Rocklin Police Officers responded to a call of an injury traffic collision on Pacific Street near Sunset Blvd. Upon arrival officers determined one vehicle had rear ended another vehicle. The driver who appeared to have caused the collision displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to SRMC via AMR for a possible broken arm and a complaint of pain. The driver who caused the collision was arrested for Felony Driving Under the Influence (DUI) due to the fact that she caused injuries to the other driver.

Arrested was Renee Francis Schultz, 56 years old, of Rocklin. She was booked into Placer County Jail and has since been bailed out.

The dangers of DUI driving to the community are not surprising and all would be drivers are encouraged to find a sober friend to drive them home.

Rocklin Police Department arrests for DUI are up 14% this year.
