Roseville, Calif.- At 9:21 p.m. Tuesday evening, April 22, Roseville Police Department and Roseville Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision on Roseville Road just south of Fir Avenue. One of the drivers, Marvin John Hamburg, 55, of Sacramento was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. Hamburg was driving alone in his 1989 Honda coupe north on Roseville Road when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle turned sideways into the southbound lanes of Roseville Road, and was struck broadside by a southbound 1998 Mazda four-door sedan driven by Kimberly Ann Forthman, 41, of Elk Grove.
Ms. Forthman was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where she is currently listed in good condition. Her female passenger was also transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with what appeared to be minor injuries.
Roseville Road was closed between Whyte Avenue and Cirby Way until 3 a.m. today, while the Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team investigated the scene.
