On November 28, 2006, at about 4:20 PM, a Rocklin resident was car jacked at gunpoint in the area of Lonetree Blvd. and Redwood Dr. by two subjects.  The victim notified the Rocklin Police Department Communications Center who broadcast a description of his late 90’s Honda Civic to Rocklin Police Department units and to other area jurisdictions.

Within 20 minutes Rocklin Police Department Officer Jason Westgate spotted the vehicle, occupied by only one subject, westbound on I-80 east of Atlantic St.  Other Rocklin PD officers responded to assist.  Because of the report of a handgun being used during the crime, a high-risk traffic stop was done on I-80 and one suspect was taken into custody.

Arrested was Cleto Cesar Delizo, Jr., 19 years, from Elk Grove.  He was booked into Placer County Jail for car jacking and robbery.

The other suspect is still outstanding.  His description is a black male in his 20’s, about 6′ in height with black hair and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a blue and white sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crime or who may have any information is encouraged to call the Rocklin Police Department at (916) 625-5400.
