Rocklin, CA – The 2015 Earth Day Celebration on the Rocklin Campus will be held on Wednesday April 22 and Thursday, April 23.

Events are scheduled throughout both days.  In addition, we will be hosting the Wild and Scenic Film Festival sponsored by the Placer Land Trust on April 21st in the Dietrich Theater.

Sierra College has celebrated Earth Day each year since its official world-wide inauguration in April of 1970; 44 years of celebrating our Mother Earth! Earth Day events are free of charge, (excluding the Wild and Scenic Film Festival event – free to students, $10 general admission) and open to the public, and we welcome and encourage the community to come celebrate with us.

This year the Sierra College Earth Day Celebration will emphasize “We are All in this Together” the human reliance on limited and/or finite natural resources for all of our needs and encouraging sustainability in our families, businesses, and communities.  We will be promoting the “6-R’s” (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Return, Refuse, Rethink), conservation and preservation, local foods, local sustainable businesses, local music as well as local watersheds, native flora and fauna, public transportation, and more.

Sierra College in Rocklin is located at 5000 Sierra College Blvd.
