Rocklin, Calif. – Dr. Kenneth L. Larson Jr. will join William Jessup University this fall as a full time Associate Professor in the university’s popular Psychology program.

Psychology is among the top three most popular majors at the growing Christian Liberal Arts University.

“Dr. Larson’s addition to the Psychology Department is part of our continued commitment to deliver the best caliber of program possible for students who are preparing to serve in the helping professions,” said Dr. Dennis Jameson, William Jessup’s Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Dr. Larson, a licensed psychologist, earned his doctorate degree from Biola University’s Rosemead School of Psychology.ย 

Most recently, Dr. Larson has spent the last seven years as a Clinical Psychologist at Valley Psychological Center where he provided ongoing individual, couple and family psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children. His areas of clinical focus include psychotherapy for individuals with physical disabilities, psychotherapy for developmental delays, marital therapy, treatment of affective and anxiety based disorders and parenting issues.

Larson also served as an adjunct professor at Western Seminary for eight years. He developed and organized all aspects of a Human Life Span Development class for Masters’ level graduate students, highlighting biological, psychological and sociological factors that influence human development.

Dr. Larson earned his B.A. in psychology from Biola University in La Mirada, California. He also received his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and completed his undergraduate work at Biola.

Dr. Larson is a member of the American Psychological Association and the California Psychological Association.
