Loomis, CA- Area residents are encouraged to bring their E-Waste to a free recycling day sponsored by Del Oro High School on Saturday, September 8th from 9am-1pm.

E-Waste is the term for electronic products that are at the end of their useful life.  With new laws in place in California that make it illegal to throw away E-waste, many Californians find their closets and garages overflowing with outdated products they don’t know what to do with.

Bringing those items to the E-waste recycling day not only helps residents dispose of those items free of charge, but since Del Oro High School has partnered with California Asset Recovery, Inc., the collection day will serve as a fundraiser for the brand new dance program.

Dance Director, Dawn Kenniston, is thrilled to offer this service to the community.  “We have a great group of kids who are thrilled to be taking dance and already are working hard on their upcoming show.  This fundraiser not only helps the community by giving people a place to safely dispose of their E-Waste, but it also gets the dancers involved in an activity that will help purchase costumes for their Winter production.
And, this fundraiser has the added benefit of teaching students and the community about the importance of recycling.”

The E-Waste recycling day is set for Saturday, September 8th from 9am-1pm in the Del Oro parking lot at 3301 Taylor Road, Loomis, CA.  Community members simply drive up and workers will even unload their car or truck if desired.
