Roseville, Calif.- This morning the Philadelphia division of the FBI located and arrested Deana Gamba-Anderson, 40, of Roseville. Her six-year-old daughter was also found safe and will be returned home to Roseville.ย  An agent from the FBI’s Harrisburg office located the two near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Gamba-Anderson is being held without bail in the Lancaster (Pennsylvania) County Jail on an FBI warrant for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution, and a Placer County warrant for kidnapping.

Roseville Police Chief Joel Neves said, “We are very grateful for the FBI’s assistance in this case. This is a great example of cooperation between local and federal law enforcement. We’re also very happy that the child was found safe and will be returned to her custodial parent. The court’s decisions regarding custody must be respected.”

Gamba-Anderson is suspected of taking the child from Roseville on July 15, and then taking her to Pennsylvania in order to conceal her from the child’s father, who has legal custody. The FBI stepped in because of indications that the child had been taken across state lines.

On July 20, Roseville Police arrested a friend of Gamba-Anderson, Benjamin Patrick Viramontes, 39, of Roseville on suspicion of conspiracy. Viramontes is suspected of conspiring with Gamba-Anderson to conceal the child from her father, who has legal custody. Viramontes is being held without bail in the Placer County Jail.
