Granite Bay, Calif.- Community, government and business leaders gathered in Granite Bay to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for CountryHouse Residence, a new senior living community specializing in providing memory care for seniors.

The 32,400 square foot property, Granite Bay’s first dedicated to memory care, is being developed by Agemark Corporation of Orinda and Maverick Partners West of Roseville.  Wells Construction will serve as the general contractor for the facility.

CountryHouse is specially designed by dementia-care experts to look and feel like a family home offering 24/7 service and support for seniors afflicted with neurological diseases and disorders such as Alzheimer’s.

Located on the northeast corner of Barton Road and Douglas Boulevard in Granite Bay, the 42-unit residence, totaling $14 million, will serve residents throughout the aging process.

Set to open in fall 2016, CountryHouse will bring 50 or more new jobs to the area, and will be operated by Agemark Corporation, which has 30 years of experience in caring for those with varying forms of dementia.

Richard Westin, CEO of Agemark said, “We are proud to be a part of the Granite Bay community and look forward to providing this much needed service to the area.  Helping people to age with dignity and caring for them as if they were our own family has been the core belief of our business since the 1980’s.”

Featuring round-the-clock, specially trained staff, CountryHouse will provide assessment and health care services, meals, transportation, housekeeping, laundry, personal care assistance, and on-site physical therapists to its residents. Daily activities will be tailored to individual interests and preferences, with a focus on maximizing the social, physical, intellectual and spiritual well-being of each resident. CountryHouse will also offer support services, educational resources, and special events for the spouses and family members of its residents.

The site is designed to help ensure the safety and security of residents, employees and visitors by incorporating the latest technologies and employing the very best practices in the senior housing industry.  Other features and amenities include beautiful living and dining rooms, a courtyard with a water feature, benches and strolling paths, and a wellness spa.

“The care and safety of our residents is important to us, and this new project will be equipped with the technology to ensure we meet the highest standards expected by our residents and their families,” said Marty Hug, Chief Operating Officer of Agemark. “We are delighted to bring CountryHouse to Granite Bay”.
