The Roseville City Council is now accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the City of Roseville Board of Appeals. The Board hears and decides appeals of administrative citations for municipal code violations, including animal, police, fire, building, stormwater, and zoning matters. They set penalties and devise solutions for ongoing violations of the municipal code.
Due to the increase in the number of appeals received by the City Attorney’s office and the difficulty in staffing the board, this recruitment will increase the panel to 15 members to increase the pool of available board members.
Board members must be 18 or older and reside within City limits of Roseville. Qualifications include experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction and code enforcement matters and an interest in serving the Roseville community. Board meetings are held twice a year, and hearing panels are typically convened the second Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. and the fourth Thursday of the month at 3 p.m. but may be convened at other times as needed.
The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 for a March 4 appointment. The application process includes a video interview. If appointed, your application/biographical information will be made available to the press and public.
