Thursday evening, officers from the Roseville Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit and Vice and Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested 21-year-old Bret James Larson in Citrus Heights.

Larson is suspected of sexually assaulting and torturing a woman in a residence in Roseville approximately two weeks ago, and threatening her repeatedly after she left. When she returned to what she thought was an unoccupied residence on April 7 to retrieve personal belongings, Larson is suspected of ambushing her and then beating, threatening with a knife, imprisoning and choking her.
