A solo driver was hospitalized with serious injuries after his pickup left the roadway and collided with a tree yesterday evening. At 6:22 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, Roseville Police and Fire personnel responded to a report of a Ford pickup into a tree on East Roseville Parkway near Parkhill Drive. The driver, a 49-year-old Roseville man, was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he is currently listed in serious condition.
East Roseville Parkway was closed between Eureka Road and Parkhill Drive for approximately 5 1/2 hours while Roseville’s Major Accident Investigation Team examined the scene. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
Roseville officers responded to an increased number of traffic collisions last night during the first rain of the season. Motorists are reminded to slow down and use extra caution when driving in the rain. The first rains of the season make for especially slick driving conditions, because of a buildup of motor oil on the roadway from the dry season.
