The Roseville Police Department is reporting that several nighttime burglaries of small businesses this week, mostly along the Douglas Boulevard corridor and Sierra College Boulevard.
The police are advising that if you own a business, don’t leave any money in your business overnight. Deposit all your cash and receipts in the bank, and leave your cash register open, with the empty drawer displayed.
The goal is for any burglars who are casing the area to see your empty cash drawer and decide it’s not worth the effort to break in. If you have an alarm, make sure it’s set at night, and take any activation seriously.
If you have a video surveillance system, make sure it’s operating and in good repair. Call police immediately to report any suspicious activity or anyone who looks like they’re casing your place during business hours.
