Shoreline hosts Popular Annual Musical Fundraiser

Mountain View, Calif. -The Northern California Internet is buzzing in anticipation of the 2014 Bridge Benefit Concert at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View.

A popular autumn music festival put on by Neil Young and Family gathers many of music’s biggest stars for an event that has been a Bay Area Tradition since 1986. After some delay, the 2014 Linuep has been announced.

Ever since it was reported that Neil Young filed to divorce Pegi Young, his wife of nearly four decades, fans remain in the lurch on whether a concert will take place in 2014. Neil and Pegi are  the organizers of the event which raises funds for the Bridge School, a non-profit that assists those with  severe speech and physical impairments.

Neil and Pegi are always front and center at this event, promoting the efforts of the Bridge School and are known for showing a great deal of affection towards each other. The annual concert features multiple artists and is noted for its laid back festival, familial style brand of entertainment.  Paul McCartney, Grateful Dead members, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Elton John are just a small example of the type of star power entertainment drawn to what has become a California classic in the concert world. The shows is in an all acoustic setting.

For the 2014 show, there has been much speculation as to whether the event will ever take place and what the lineup will look like. At this point, the return of Pearl Jam is a a heavy favorite. Their tour ends a few days prior to the show and Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam are never far from a Bridge show.

However, at this point it’s still rumor, although the grapevine tells us that an announcement regarding the show, is imminent.
