Rocklin, Calif.- On 02/04/2013 at 10:40 in the evening, Rocklin PD received a silent burglar alarm at the Sunset Whitney Country Club located at 4201 Midas Ave. (now Sunset Whitney Recreation Area)

The alarm company reported that noises could be heard within the building.ย  When officers arrived on scene they could still hear noises coming from inside the clubhouse.ย Several smashed windows were found throughout the structure, along with a trail of blood which appeared to be from the suspect.

Officers followed the blood trail down one of the golf paths until it ended near a walking bridge.ย  A Roseville K9 officer called in to assist announced that the search was going to begin with a police dog.ย The suspect (Travis Dandrea, 34, from Rocklin) immediately called out from under the bridge and surrendered to the officers. The K9 was not deployed.ย 

Evidence was located on the suspect that connected him to the burglary. He had fresh cuts on his hands which provided the trail for the officers to follow.

Arrested:

Travis Dandrea, 34, from Rocklin, was booked in the Placer County Jail Charges:
Burglary – 459 PC
Vandalism – 594(B)(1) PC
