Rocklin, Calif.- On October 12, 2008 at about 1550 hours, the Rocklin Police Department responded to the area of Sierra College Blvd and El Don Dr, in response to an attempted robbery call.

Responding officers located the victim and several witnesses on the sidewalk near the intersection of Sierra College Blvd and El Don Dr. The victim related that an unknown male wearing blue jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up attempted to grab her purse from her shoulder. The victim struggled with the male subject. During the struggle the victim was knocked to the ground and received minor injuries to her head. The male subject fled the scene on foot.

Two separate motorists that where driving by the location during the incident stopped to assist the victim and chased the male subject into a near by apartment complex where they lost sight of him.

Rocklin Police Officers located the male subject a short time later inside the complex. The male subject had already changed his clothes and hid the clothes he was wearing on a near by balcony.

20 year old Terrance Doutherd from the City of Auburn was arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail for Attempted Robbery and Violation of Probation. Doutherd is currently being held on $70,000 bail.
