Placer County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a bank robber who struck two Auburn banks in two weeks.

On Friday September 10, the suspect entered the Bank of the West at 13422 Lincoln Way, in the Raley”s Center, and told the teller he wanted to cash a check. He then passed a note that demanded cash. The suspect was given money, and then walked out of the bank.

On Saturday, August 28, the same suspect robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on Grass Valley Highway in north Auburn.

The suspect is described as 6-feet tall, 35-40 years old, with brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
