Our goal is to equip these students with a laptop for the start of the 2011 fall semester,’ said Kathleen Tucker, Director of the University Fund at William Jessup. ‘We want to reach out to our surrounding communities for more donated laptops to support this much needed program.’

WJU’s Information Technology department will erase and reimage the donated laptops and install the Microsoft operating licenses purchased by Sierra College Foundation.’We appreciate the support that William Jessup University is providing to Sierra College students,’ said Sonbol Aliabadi, Executive Director of the Sierra College Foundation. ‘The needs of these young people are often overlooked.’

Unfortunately, many foster youth generally grow up in numerous homes with few life skills or tangible items to call their own and are sent out into the world with no money or source of income.
