The Pocket

The newest upscale restaurant in the one-square-mile village of Carmel-by-the-Sea is The Pocket, which opens its doors March 14. Inspired by the love for excellent cuisine, culture, and fine wine and cocktails that have been passed down through generations, the family-owned restaurant provides a perfect experience with not only the exceptional cuisine but unforgettable people and ambiance. Located on Lincoln St. between 5th & 6th, open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Rise + Roam

Carmel-by-the-Sea’s newest casual restaurant is Rise + Roam, opening this winter. This Roman-style bakery and pizzeria will be the first of its kind in the village. In addition to pizza it will also feature pastries and breads. Chef Aaron Rayor joins up with renowned local Chef Todd Fisher of the Folktale Group, owners of nearby acclaimed Seventh & Dolores Steakhouse. Located at the corner of 7th and Mission.

Yeast of Eden

Carmel-by-the-Sea welcomed its first brewery in the village, Yeast of Eden. The restaurant and bar opened in 2019 in the south wing of the Carmel Plaza in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. The brewpub features 120 seats inside and 40 seats in an outdoor courtyard patio, all in a hip, contemporary design aesthetic. The menu features global, street-food inspired cuisine to pair with the crisp, effervescent open-fermented beers made on-site.

Kori Wines

Carmel-by-the-Sea welcomes its 20th wine tasting room to the village. Kori Wines is a partnership between Santa Lucia Highlands grape/citrus grower Kirk Williams & his step-daughter Kori Violini. Check out their full assortment of wines including Sauvingon Blanc, Syrah, rose, Cabernet Sauvignon, sparkling blanc de blancs and of course, Pinot Noir.
