Massive Lake Tahoe Snowfall Season continues…

Olympic Valley, CA- It’s a powder day in May! Squaw Valley has received 11 inches in the last 24 hours on Squaw Valley’s upper mountain, bringing their two-day total to 18 inches and cumulative total for the season to 700 inches.

The 2018-19 season remains the third snowiest season on record for Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, with the top two seasons clocking in at 810″ and 728″ of total snowfall, respectively. A winter weather advisory is currently in effect for tomorrow evening through Sunday morning, and we could pick up another 10 – 18 inches of snow.

Squaw currently has 9 lifts running at Squaw Valley and Summit Express is open at Alpine Meadows.

Guests can check the Squaw Alpine app for real-time lift status and operations updates. Alpine Meadows will close this Sunday, May 19. Squaw Valley is still operating a seven day a week schedule until Memorial Day, at which time it will switch to Friday-Sunday operations until the Fourth of July weekend. The resort plans to be open for skiing and riding from July 3-7, weather and conditions permitting.
