PET/CT Mobile Imaging Unit to serve Roseville Area Communities

Roseville, Calif. – Northern California PET Imaging Center (NCPIC), a nationally recognized and renowned not-for-profit imaging center, announced today that it is bringing a state-of-the-art PET/CT mobile imaging unit to Sun City Lincoln Hills.

The mobile unit, the second in the NCPIC fleet, is designed to serve patients in Lincoln, Rocklin, Roseville and surrounding communities who may need a PET/CT scan, an advanced imaging technology that images the body at the cellular level.  PET/CT scans provide detailed data used for the detection of dementia, cancer, and cardiac medical conditions.

Service at the mobile unit will be conveniently located at the Orchard Creek Lodge, 965 Orchard Creek Lane in Lincoln every Tuesday starting February 2.

“We recognized a need for quality PET/CT services in the Lincoln area,” said Ruth Tesar, chief executive officer of NCPIC. “We’ve been at the forefront of providing Northern California communities with access to the most advanced molecular imaging technologies available, and our decision to be in Lincoln is an extension of that philosophy.”

Established in 1992 as a not-for-profit community benefit organization, NCPIC was the first freestanding outpatient PET center in the nation, with the first whole-body PET scanner.  The organization has established itself among the most prestigious PET/CT imaging centers nationally, with an impressive medical staff comprised of physicians specially trained and solely focused on PET and CT imaging.  NCPIC continues to be innovative by bringing the community the latest advancements in molecular imaging and clinical research.

“The fact is that most consumers who need imaging services do have a choice of where to go, and we’re adding the convenience and affordability factor by being embedded in the local communities that we serve.” continued Tesar.  “We’re excited to bring Lincoln and the surrounding communities this cutting edge imaging service.”

Northern California PET Imaging Center, headquartered in Sacramento, also provides PET/CT service in Auburn, Grass Valley, Vacaville, Vallejo and Woodland.
