Lew Uhler, a nationally recognized champion against big government and new taxes, has joined dozens of Placer County community leaders and residents who are endorsing the re-election of Placer County Supervisor Rocky Rockholm.

Uhler, who is founder and president of the National Tax Limitation Committee, announced Monday that he is joining an impressive collection of elected officials, community leaders and residents who have worked closely with Rockholm and have endorsed his re-election. (A partial list is available online.) Rockholm’s list of supporters even includes three of the four school trustees currently serving with his opponent.

A number of Rockholm’s supporters are saying good things about him in Internet videos that document his wide spectrum of support. The videos have quickly become among the most widely viewed features on Rockholm’s campaign website.

“I am deeply grateful for the support shown on the videos,” Rockholm said. “I hope to live up to the many kind words.”

In his video endorsement, Sheriff Ed Bonner recalls working with Rockholm for over 30 years, first as fellow officers on the streets and later as a sheriff with a county supervisor. “We need supervisors who are going to place public safety as their top priority, and I know from experience that Rocky Rockholm is the guy to do that,” Bonner says.

Longtime Placer County agriculture advocate Joanne Neft says Rockholm is “a true friend” of Placer County agriculture.  “He has, since day one, been supportive of all things related to Placer County agriculture,” Neft says.

“Rocky is a strong supporter of veterans…you call him up and he’s very responsive,” says Dave Ramsey, former commander of both the Roseville VFW and American Legion. “I support Rocky because he’s the kind of a guy who says what he means and means what he says. I have found that you can depend on Rocky.”
