Lincoln Showcase Popularity Undeniable
Lincoln, Calif. – Under a clear and comfortably warm autumn sky, Lincoln once again rose to the occasion for the annual Lincoln Showcase festivities. The event is put on by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
Showcase is an apt description for an event that highlights so much of what is special in this up and coming community. Lincoln may not always get the attention it deserves when compared to its more populous neighbors, but make no mistake, there’s an incomparable energy and fun in this town, notably when the sun goes down.
The anticipation builds as Beermann Plaza and a couple adjoining streets become fenced in, lights get strung up, the stage takes shape and vendors prepare delicious and varied assortments of goodies for every palate prior to the crowd’s arrival.
Local shops and restaurants provided generous portions of carefully prepared dishes that ranged from Italian, Seafood, Thai, Cheese & Fruit, to an dizzying array of sweets. Libations flowed freely and were provided by local shops, wineries and craft breweries.
An affable crowd gives the event what we can only describe as having a collegial atmosphere. Standing still for a few moments was almost a guarantee of someone stopping to strike up a conversation. A small town friendliness only adds to Lincoln’s appeal.
This event carries an excitement that is palpable from every spot in which we found ourselves. As the evening settled in, the band (Time Bandits) played to an enthusiastic and energized dancing crowd while others refueled and refilled their cups and socialized.
Lincoln Showcase is simply one of the best (21 and over) local events you can attend in our region. It’s fun with friendly people in a beautiful setting. Add in plenty of great local eats and drinks and you’ll find yourself returning year after year. Its close proximity to all points in South Placer County is just icing on the cake.
