(Roseville, CA) – The Placer Breast Cancer Endowment is currently seeking community volunteers for their annual Hot Pink Fun Run.

The event, which is scheduled for Sunday, September 28 in downtown Roseville, will benefit the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment. All event proceeds will be dedicated to Supporting the Breast Cancer Chair for breast cancer research and clinical trials at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Hot Pink Fun Run Race Director, Aldo Pineschi, expects the event to attract more than 1,000 registered runners this year.

“The Hot Pink Fun Run’s family-friendly format and community spirit has attracted a loyal following of running enthusiasts and first timers, as well as those who are interested in supporting a local breast cancer cause,” said Pineschi. “Once again we’re planning both 5K run and 10K routes” he added.

The growing increase in participants has fueled the need for more volunteers. Some of the volunteer duties the group needs help with include; pre-event planning, race check-in and registration, finish line support and timing chip removal, parking/traffic control, water station and event set-up and tear down.  Individuals interested in volunteering can visit the Hot Pink Fun Run website; www.hotpinkfunrun.org and click on the volunteers tab, or send an email to the volunteer coordinator at hotpinkfunrun@gmail.com
