Historic Snow to Extend Homewood Ski Season

HOMEWOOD, Calif. – With a historic winter season underway and more than 540 inches of snow having already fallen on the slopes at Homewood Mountain Resort this winter, the resort announced it plans to extend the winter season by two weeks, pushing its scheduled closing day to April 21, 2019, weather and conditions permitting.

To celebrate the historic winter conditions in Lake Tahoe this season, Homewood Mountain Resort is kicking off its 2019-20 season pass sale on Monday, March 11 with a limited quantity of adult Ultimate full season passes starting at $389 while supplies last.

Ultimate Pass Specials

Offering the best value in the region, Homewood’s “Ultimate Pass” is valid all season long with no restrictions or blackout dates. In addition, those who purchase their 2019-20 season pass can ski free until the end of the current season.

Following the limited time “flash sale,” the unrestricted Ultimate Pass will be available this spring for $469 for adults (ages 19-61), $409 for teens (ages 13-18), $199 for juniors (ages 5-12) and $329 for seniors (ages 62+) and those under the age of four always ski or ride free at Homewood Mountain Resort. For families who ski and ride together and are looking for the best value the Homewood Family Pass is also available for purchase. The Ultimate Family Pass starts at $1,249 and includes two adult and two dependent child/teen (ages 5-18) season passes, valid throughout the 2019/20 season with the ability to ski free this spring.

Dine and Drink

After a day on the slopes, the perfect way to end the day is at West Shore Cafe with complimentary s’mores and après ski specials offered Friday through Monday. S’mores making ingredients are available on a first-come, first-served basis from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the restaurant’s lakeside deck, with other après ski specials including $5 craft brews, $5 house wine and $3 off specialty cocktails. West Shore Café is open for après Friday through Monday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Dinner reservations can also be made Friday through Monday at West Shore Café for those interested in enjoying the restaurant’s seasonal menu featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list, craft cocktails and stunning views of Lake Tahoe. During the winter, the restaurant is open for dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays for lunch from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are recommended. Dining guests are encouraged to check the restaurant’s website prior to visiting as the restaurant is occasionally closed for private events.
