Roseville, CA — The Harmonicoots of Sun City Roseville, the largest working harmonica band in America, will put on their tenth annual Jamboree under its theme, “Best of the Best,” at the Timber Creek Ballroom, 7050 Del Webb Blvd., Roseville, on Tuesday May 13th 8th at 7:00 p.m.
The Coots, as they are called, will play songs such as There’s No Business Like Show Business, Hey Good Lookin’, Green Green, and It’s a Grand Night for Singing and many more including special tunes by smaller groups and soloists.
Popular guest artist, Dr. Marc Silverstein, an exclusive ragtime harmonica player known world wide, will also perform, accompanied by Dr. Elliott Adams, an accomplished pianist. Silverstein and Adams, both local dermatologists, have performed at the Sacramento Jazz Festival and West Coast Ragtime Festival, among others.
“Elvis Presley, impersonated by Bruce Turley, will also be here in costume,” said Bud Gardner, founder and Head Coot of the Harmonicoots. “He’ll wow the audience with Blue Suede Shoes and other Elvis favorites. I encourage everyone to buy their tickets early because the show traditionally has been a sell-out.”
Tickets are $10, check or cash only, and can be obtained by calling Don Rogers at 916-771-7961 or any other Harmonicoot member. The public is encouraged not to delay buying tickets to guarantee a seat. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
