Rocklin, Calif. – William Jessup University, the Sacramento area’s only residential four-year private university, today announced that Dr. Todd Erickson will join the university as Associate Provost for Enrollment Management.
During the past five years, the university has experienced unprecedented growth. Since 2008, enrollment has increased by 119 percent.
“In this new role, Todd will facilitate vision, plans, and infrastructure in support of our expanding outreach to students,” said Jessup’s Provost, Dr. Dennis Jameson “His expertise in higher education marketing has successfully demonstrated strengths that well-match our current needs as we continue to develop new programs in addition to the expanded delivery model of our existing programs.”
Dr. Erickson comes to the growing university with 20-years of experience as a dean, faculty member and in various academic administrative leadership roles where he supervised successful admissions efforts involving undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional programs.
Dr. Erickson served most recently with King University as Dean of the School of Business and Economics and also as a Professor of Marketing. Prior to working at King, he served 11 years at Trinity Western University in Langley, British Colombia where he provided leadership in the areas of academic funding and budget processes, structuring of academic partnerships and implementing global learning strategies.
Erickson has also worked for Fortune 500 companies and as an owner and operator of his own business ventures. He holds degrees with honors from Wheaton College in Economics and a Master’s degree in Management from Northwestern University. He also attended Anderson University where he received his doctorate of Business Administration.
In May, the university graduated 275 students during its largest commencement ceremony in its 73-year history. The university recently added Biology and Creative Arts degree programs. Fall semester for the 2013-14 academic year begins August 28.
