Dave Fredrickson named executive pastor at Bayside West

Roseville, Calif.- Dave Fredrickson, a longtime pastor, professor and Air Force chaplain, has been named executive pastor at Bayside West Community Church (now Life Community Church) in Roseville.

As executive pastor, Fredrickson will provide staff oversight and drive the overall vision and strategies of the church, according to Senior Pastor Chuck Wysong. “Dave is a perfect fit for Bayside West. He brings maturity, professionalism and a depth of experience that will help our church continue to grow and reach out to the community,” Wysong said.

Fredrickson has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a doctoral degree in systematic theology from Baptist Bible Seminary in Pennsylvania. In 1985, he was ordained by the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination. Since 1984, Fredrickson has served in four pastoral roles, most often in an executive pastor position, in the Sacramento area.

In the 1980s and ’90s, Fredrickson served as a chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserves. While in the pastorate, Fredrickson has also served as adjunct or assistant professor at the Sacramento campus of Western Seminary of Portland, Ore., and served as full-time Sacramento Campus director for 10 years. He continues to teach part-time at Western Seminary.

Fredrickson’s wife, Kim, has worked as a licensed marriage and family therapist in the Sacramento area for 30 years. The couple have two adult children, Kurt and Chrissy.

Life Community Church holds services every Sunday at 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. at 10020 Foothills Blvd. in Roseville. The mission of the church is to “lead people into a life-changing, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” Wysong says the church provides relevant teaching, energetic worship and innovative programs for youth of all ages.
