The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying the man who  recently robbed two Loomis businesses at gunpoint.


The man, who is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, is thought to be in his mid-20s. He is possibly Hispanic and may be associated with a white compact car,   similar to a Saturn coupe.


The man robbed the Star Liquor Store on Taylor Road in Loomis on Wednesday, January 16, at 11:35 a.m. The clerk said he was wearing a black hoodie and a black knit cap, and used a handgun in the robbery. Two days later, Friday, January 18, a man matching the same description robbed the Valero gas station on Penryn Road in Penryn around noon. A handgun was also used in that robbery.
