Last week we released surveillance video showing a suspect burglarizing a gas station convenience store during the early hours of March 31. Local media outlets broadcast the video, and our detectives received helpful leads as a result of the video and the media coverage.
Following up on those leads, on April 5 Roseville Police and Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies searched the home of a parolee on El Camino Avenue in Sacramento. They found empty cash register trays, as well as illegal drugs and evidence of drug sales.
Roseville officers took Herbert Carl Arnell Jr., 40, of Sacramento into custody on suspicion of committing the March 31 burglary. He’s being investigated in connection with other similar commercial burglaries in Roseville and Sacramento County.
Arnell is being held in the Placer County Jail without bail on suspicion of burglary and violation of parole.
