Folsom Road, elderly resident assaulted: At 12:26 a.m. April 30, Roseville Police and Fire personnel responded to an assault on an elderly man in the 900 block of Douglas Blvd.
The 79-year-old man had gone outside to ask a group of noisy youths in front of his house to move along. The five male teenagers charged the man and knocked him down, hitting and kicking him.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, and has since been released. Officers located one suspect hiding in a nearby yard, and the rest on South Lincoln Street.
Two 18-year-old males from Roseville and Elk Grove, a 17-year-old male from Roseville and two 16-year-old males from Roseville and Antelope were arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, elder abuse and other related charges.
