On August 15, 2014, at approximately 8:42 p.m., a 53 year old female from N. Highlands was driving a 2003 Jeep Cherokee w/b on Antelope Rd east of Watt Ave, stopped in the two-way left turn lane, waiting to turn left into a residential neighborhood.

At the same time a 23 year old male from Roseville was riding a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle and a 29 year old male from Rio Linda was riding a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle side by side in the e/b #2 lane approaching the Jeep Cherokee at speeds greater than 80 mph.

One of the motorcyclists performed a “wheelie” as they both approached the Jeep. The driver of the Jeep calculated that she had enough time to turn left before the motorcyclists were up to her location. As she turned left and crossed into the #2 e/b lane she did so directly in front of the two motorcyclists. Immediately a broadside collision occurred between the front of both motorcycles and the right side of the Jeep.

Both motorcyclists were killed upon impact.
