140,000 Acres Charred in Rough Fire: California Fire Updates

Nearly 11,600 firefighters are battling 8 large fires across California. In Northern California, warmer and drier weather through the weekend with light offshore flow. In Southern California, a warming trend is moving in and will produce weak offshore winds that will allow temperatures to climb and humidity to drop.

CAL FIRE recommends that all residents be prepared for wildfire by remembering “Ready, Set, Go!” If an evacuation is recommended go early to avoid being caught in fire, smoke or road congestion; don’t wait to be ordered to leave. Evacuating the fire area early also helps firefighters keep roads clear of congestion, and lets them move more freely to do their job. In an intense wildfire, they will not have time to knock on every door. If you are advised to leave, don’t hesitate! To learn more about being prepared for wildfire visit www.ReadyForWildfire.org.
