AFP Awards Placer SPCA Director Susan Willson

Roseville, Calif. – Placer SPCA is proud to announce Susan Willson, Director of Development & Marketing for Placer SPCA, has been named Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) California Capital Chapter’s Outstanding Fundraising Professional of the Year.

Willson received this award for her commitment to fundraising and philanthropy through effective, creative and stimulating leadership.

In 2005, Willson joined Placer SPCA where her dedication and commitment are not only exemplified by the years of service to the organization, but also in the consistent quality of her efforts and results delivered. In her time as the Director of Development & Marketing for Placer SPCA, Willson has been instrumental in growing the fundraising portfolio from $400,000 to $1.5 million annually. Willson has also spearheaded several major projects, including the Placer SPCA’s first ever capital campaign for a new Adoption & Education Center estimated at $12.1 million.

This acknowledgment takes into consideration her nearly 11 year role as Placer SPCA Director of Development & Marketing, but also her personal commitment to volunteerism and philanthropy.
