At 10:42 a.m. Sunday, August 9, the Roseville Police and Fire Departments responded to a major injury collision in the intersection of Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Washington Boulevard. A green 2004 Ford F150 pickup traveling northbound on Washington Boulevard struck broadside a black 2009 Cadillac CTS sedan that was traveling westbound on Pleasant Grove Boulevard.
The Cadillac driver, a 50-year-old Roseville woman, was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where she is currently listed in critical condition. The pickup driver, a 30-year-old Lincoln man, and his two juvenile passengers were also transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, treated and released. The intersection was closed until approximately 4:30 p.m. while investigators examined the scene.
Although routine toxicology tests were administered, there were no obvious signs that alcohol or other drugs were a factor in the collision. The collision is being investigated by the Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
