At 12:26 p.m. on June 27, Roseville Police Department detectives arrested Scott Stewart Singewald, 41, of Roseville on suspicion of committing the June 11 robbery of the River City Bank, 3992 Douglas Blvd.  Singewald is also suspected in the September 1, 2007 robbery of a Bank of America in Fairfield; the May 3 robbery of Bank of the West in Woodland; the June 20 robbery of Bank of the West, on El Camino Avenue in Sacramento; and the June 23 robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank in Lincoln.

Roseville Police investigators were able to identify Singewald through  bank video surveillance photos and other information gleaned from citizens and allied agencies. Roseville Police investigators  located Singewald’s vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel in Roseville, and  took Singewald into custody outside the hotel without incident.

Singewald is being held in the Placer County Jail on $750,000 bail. He is scheduled for arraignment  at 1 p.m. today.

The series of robberies is being investigated by the Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force, comprised of FBI agents and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department robbery detectives, as well as detectives from the Roseville, Woodland, Lincoln and Fairfield Police Departments.
